35-year-old Kevin Easterday was born with a rare condition that prevented his spine from developing correctly. His legs were amputated, when he was only a baby, but that hasn’t stopped him from living life to the fullest. A strange illness, known as sacral agenesis, made it necessary for doctors to amputate Kenny’s legs, when he was only six months old. Part of his shinbone was used to create the missing part of his spine, but Kenny lost the ability to walk. Believe it or not, Mr. Eastearday was able to live a rich happy life, regardless of his handicap. During a documentary, Kenny’s father reveals he taught his son to walk using his hands, by telling him to imitate his mother, who “walks like a duck”. As a child, he was offered a pair of prosthetic legs, but he didn’t really find them very useful, so he always used his hands, or a skateboard, to get around. Although he wasn’t expected to reach the age of 21, Kenny not only beat the odds, but enjoyed life, in the process. He learned to play pool, bowl, work, and even make love to his fiancee,Nicky. To top things off, the happy couple is waiting for confirmation that Desiree, their 7-year-old daughter, is actually Kenny’s daughter.

Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really pissed.

She told him “Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!”

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Bob has been missing since Friday.

A blonde woman is driving along a country road, out in rolling hills of the Midwest, when she sees some movement off in the distance. As she gets closer, she realizes that it is another blonde woman in a rowboat in the middle of a field rowing the boat like crazy.
She stops her car at the side of the road and gets out. She yells out to the blonde in the rowboat, “What the &$%# are you doing?” The blonde in the boat, obviously flustered, yells back, “I have got to hurry up and get home in time for dinner or I will be in real trouble!”
The blonde at the side of the road is aggravated. “I can’t believe this! You are out in the middle of a field in a row boat! It’s blondes like you that give blondes like me a bad name! In fact, if I could swim, I would swim out there and kick your butt!”

A man dies and goes to Heaven. He gets to meet GOD and asks GOD if he can ask him a few questions.
“Sure,” GOD says, “Go right ahead”.
“OK,” the man says. “Why did you make women so pretty?”
GOD says, “So you would like them.”
“OK,” the guy says. “But how come you made them so beautiful?”
“So you would LOVE them”, GOD replies.
The man ponders a moment and then asks, “But why did you make them such airheads?”
GOD says, “So they would love you!”

We are discussing the rules of precaution from Zinaa. The four rules discussed previously were:
  1. Do not even go near to what will lead you to Zinaa. Lower your gazes from forbidden things.
  2. Do not be alone in the company of a Non-Mahram.
  3. Muslim women must observe Hijaab.
  4. When one attains puberty, one should get married.
Those who cannot marry early due to genuine reasons, have two options:
Temporary Abstinence:
“Let those who do not find means to marry abstain (from what is unlawful) until Allah, by His grace, give them means”. (24:33)
A man comes to the Holy Prophet (saw) and says: “I do not have the (financial) ability to marry; therefore, I have come to complain to you about my singleness”. The Holy Prophet (saw) adviced him on how to control his sexual urge by saying: “Leave the hair of your body (to grow) and fast continuously”. (Wasael)
Bodily hair is in reference to pubic, chest etc. Although there is no scientific evidence on this so far, according to this Hadeeth, there certainly appears to be some link between the growth of bodily hair and sexual urge. Imam Ali (as) has also said: “Whenever a person’s hair increases, his sexual desires have also decreased”. (Wasael)
As for fasting, it will strengthen the will power of the person and make it easier for him to restrain the sexual feelings.
Temporary Marriage:
According to the Fiqh of Shia’hs, marriage is of two kinds: Da-im and Munqate’ meaning: Permanent & Temporary. Both marriages have their rules and laws as discussed in the books on Jurisprudence by the Mujtahideen (Shia’h Islamic Jurists).
This type of marriage was practiced from the time of the Holy Prophet (saw) till the early days of the khilafah of ‘Umar ibnul-Khattab –the second caliph of the Muslims. Then ‘Umar banned it and made it Haraam. Needless to say, whether it is ‘Umar or anyone else, no one has any value infront of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (tradition).
In conclusion, the message of Islam is very clear:
Marry on a permanent basis.
If not possible, adopt the path of temporary abstinence.
If not possible too, then opt for the temporary marriage system

One who commits sodomy shall not die without being punished in the same manner as the people of Prophet Lut (as) were punished.
According to the Holy Quran, three kinds punishements were meted out to the people of Lut (as):
  1. Terrible scream and shriek
  2. Shower of stones that rained upon them
  3. The earth turned upside down
After the third calamity, Quran says: “Marked (for punishment) with your Lord and it is not far off from the unjust”. (11:83)
This verse indicates that similar punishments may also be inflicted upon those who commit sodomy.
Abu Baseer once asked Imam Ja’ffar as-Sadiq (as) about the verse:
“So when Our decree came to pass, We turned them upside down and rained down upon them stones, of what has been decreed, one after another”. (11:82)
Imam (as) explained: “There is no one who leaves this world while considering sodomy permissible, but that Allah hits him with one of the stones that had fallen on the people of Lut (as)”.   (Tafseere Qummi)
After death, a homosexual will be joined with the people of Sodom who were destroyed and counted among them.
In the days of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Caliph, a slave killed his master. When he confessed the crime , ‘Umar ordered him to be put to death. Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) questioned this slave: “Why did you kill your master?” The slave replied: “he had forcibly committed sodomy with me”. Imam (as) asked the heirs of the deceased, “Have you burried him?” To which they replied, “Yes, we have just come after burrying him”. Imam (as) advised ‘Umar to hold the slave in custody for three days and told the heirs of the deceased to come back after three days.
Three days passed, then Imam Ali (as), ‘Umar and some of the heirs of the murdered man went to the grave. Upon reaching there, Imam (as) asked: “Is this the grave of your man?” They answered, “Yes”. Ali (as) ordered the grave to be dug out. Amazingly the dead body had disappeared from it. Imam Ali (as) said: “Allahu Akbar! I have heard the Holy Prophet (saw) saying that: Whoever from my nation commits the act of the nation of Lut (as) and dies before repenting for it shall not remain in the grave for more than three days. The earth will suck him inside and he shall reach the place of the dead of Lut (as) where destiny annihilated them. Then that person will also be counted among them”.   (Gunahaane Kabeera)

Tips for a healthy hair

1.Have a good diet which should include lots of leafy green vegetables, fruits and sprouts.

2.Avoid shampoos as far as possible. Instead use sikkakai or besan or paste of fenugreek seeds, it will clean and soften the hair. If that is not possible, then go for herbal shampoos.

Santa and a lawyer are seated next to
each other on a flight from Patiyala to
New Delhi. The lawyer asks if he
would like to play a fun game. Santa,
tired, just wants to take a nap, so he
politely declines and rolls over to the
window to catch a few winks. The
lawyer persists and explains that the
game is easy and a lot of fun. He
says, "I ask you a question, and if you
don't know the answer, you pay me fifty
rupees, and vice versa." Again, Santa
declines and tries to get some sleep.

The lawyer, now agitated, says, "Okay,
if you don't know the answer, you pay
me Rs. 50, and if I don't know the
answer, I will pay you Rs. 5000." This
catches Santa's attention and, figuring
there will be no end to this torment,
agrees to the game. The lawyer asks
the first question: "What's the distance
from the earth to the moon?" Santa
doesn't say a word, reaches into his
purse, pulls out a Rs. 50 bill, and
hands it to the lawyer. "Okay," says the
lawyer, "your turn." Santa asks, "What
goes up a hill with three legs and
comes back with four legs?" The
lawyer, puzzled, takes out his laptop
computer and searches all his
references ... no answer.

He taps into the air phone with his
modem and searches the Internet and
the Library of Congress ... no answer.
Frustrated, he sends e-mails to all his
friends and coworkers but to no avail.
After an hour, he wakes Santa and
hands him Rs. 5000. Santa thanks
him and turns back to get some more
sleep. The lawyer, who is more than a
little miffed, stirs Santa and
asks, "Well, what's the answer?"
Without a word, Santa reaches into his
purse, hands the lawyer Rs. 50, and
goes back to sleep. And you thought
Sardars were dumb.

Santa-Oye! What are you doing?

Banta-Recording this babys voice.

Santa-Why?

Banta- When he grows up, I shall ask
him what he meant by this

Teacher: what do you call a person
who cannot hear anything?

Sardar: You can call him anything,
because he cannot hear anything

Bantasingh : I am so proud of my son.
He is at medical school.

Santasingh : Whatt is he studying ?

Banta : Oh he is not studying... He is
so great that they are studying HIM!

Namaz-e-Jama'at

The Holy Prophet of Islam (saw) said: " The rows of my followers in the congregational (Jama'at) prayer on the earth are like the rows of angels in the sky; and a rak'at of prayer in congregation is equivalent with twenty-four rak'ats, and every rak'at with Allah, Almighty and Glorious, is more beloved than forty years of worship. Therefore, on the Day of Judgement, when Allah gathers all human beings from the beginning to the end for Reckoning, there will be no believer who has attended the congregational prayer but for whom Allah will decrease the grievousness of the Day of Reckoning and after that the one will be told to enter Paradise.

Rights of the Brother in Faith

There are numerous traditions in connection with the rights of the believers and brothers-in-faith. A few of such traditions are quoted below :
Mualla Bin-Khanees asked Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (a.s.):
"What are the rights of the believing brother ?"
Imam (a.s.) replied, "Seven rights of the believers are Wajib - If one fails to fulfill even one of these rights, he is externed from Allah's obedience. He shall not receive any reward from the Almighty."
"What are those seven rights?", enquired Mualla.
Imam (a.s.) said, " I fear that you may fail to act upon them."
Mualla said, "La Quwwata Illa Billah" (It won't be so).
Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (a.s.) said, "The foremost right is that you wish for the believing brothers whatever you wish for yourself."
Imam (a.s.) then related the other six rights,
"The second right is that you must refrain from angering him and try to seek his pleasure and obey him.
The third right is that you help him with you life, your wealth, your tongue, and your hands.
The fourth right is that you guide him and teach him that which is beneficial for him.
The fifth, is that do not eat till satiation when your believing brother is hungry, and do not drink to satiation if he is thirsty, and do not dress nicely if he is deprived of good clothes.
The sixth right is that if you have a servant you should send him to do his work.
The seventh right is that if the believing brother says something on oath you should believe him, if he invites, you accept his invitation, if he is sick, visit him, if he dies, accompany his bier, if you come to know any of his needs fulfill it before he asks.

Rights of Sadaat

Allama Hilli in his book `Qawaidul Ahkam' counsels his son Fakhrul Muhaqqiqin in the following words :
"You should practise Sileh Rahmi with the pure descendants of the Sadaat also. The Almighty Allah has emphasized upon this duty so much that he has made the love of relatives of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) as a compensation of the Prophetic mission."
"...Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives...." (Shuara 42:23)
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:
"I shall intercede for four types of people even if they carry the sins of all humanity."
  • A person who has helped my descendants and progeny.
  • A person who has spent his wealth upon my descendants when they were in need.
  • A person who has loved my Progeny with his tongue and his heart.
  • A person who has considered the wants of my descendants when they were surrounded by enemies and were homeless."

Imam Sadeq (AS) has said:
“Surely Prophet Ibrahim (AS) called on God to give him a daughter to weep after his death.”
The Holy Prophet (SAW) has said:
“What good offspring are the girls! For they are kind, obedient, sympathetic and having blessing with them.”
“Whoever curses his child, God will afflict him with poverty.”
Imam Sadeq (AS) has also said:
“Girls are as benefaction but boys are as riches. On the Day of Judgment, there will be reward for the benefaction but riches will be questioned of.”
The holy Prophet (SAW) has said:
“Whoever has three daughters or three sons, paradise is his due.”
It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, how about two? The Holy Prophet (SAW) said:
“The same is true with two.” It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, how about one? The Holy Prophet said:
“The same is true with one.”
The Holy Prophet (SAW) has also said:
“Whoever has three daughters or sisters and is patient in taking care of them until they get married or die he and me are as these two fingers on paradise - at this time, the Holy Prophet referred to his index and middle fingers.”
It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, what happens if they are two? The Holy Prophet (SAW) said:
“The same is true with two.” It was asked, how about one?
The Holy Prophet said: “The same is true with one.”
A man to whom a baby girl was born and seeing he was angry, Imam Sadeq (AS) said:

“What will you do if God says to you: Shall I choose. The Imam said:

“Now God has chosen a girl for you.
About the boy whom Khidr killed as mentioned in verse 81 of the Quranic Chapter, the Cave:

“So we desired that their Lord might give them in his place one better than him in purity and nearer to having compassion.”
Imam Sadeq (AS) said instead of that son God gave them a daughter from whose generation, seventy prophets came.
4-Kinsfolk
The Holy Prophet (SAW) has said:

“I recommend ties of kinship to those who are present or absent and every one of my Ummah being in the loins of men and wombs of women till the Day of Judgment even if there is a gap as long as a year between them, for ties of kinship is part of religion.”
The Holy Prophet (SAW) has also said:

“One side of Sarat (bridge which the righteous only can cross on the road to paradise) on the Day of Judgment is trustworthiness and the other is ties of kinsfolk. One who has been trustworthy and has observed ties of kinsfolk, crosses the bridge and goes to paradise, however, one who breaches the trust and is heedless of relatives can not cross the bridge, for his other deeds will not avail him and Sarat will throw him.

This policeman was being cross-examined by a defence attorney during a felony trial.
The lawyer was trying to undermine the police officer's credibility...

Q:  'Officer, did you see my client fleeing the scene?'

A:   'No sir
.  But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away.'
Q:   'Officer -- who provided this description?'
A:
'The officer who responded to the scene.'
Q:   'A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender.  Do you trust your fellow officers?'
A:
   'Yes, sir.  With my life.'
Q:   'With your life?  Let me ask you this then officer.  Do you have a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?'
A:
   'Yes sir, we do!'
Q:   'And do you have a locker in the room?'
A:
   'Yes sir, I do.'
Q:   'And do you have a lock on your locker?'
A:
   'Yes sir.'
Q:   'Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?'
A:
'You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room.'

The courtroom EXPLODED with laughter, and a prompt recess was called.

The officer on the stand has been nominated for this year's 'Best Comeback' line.

What's in a name?
They have developed a very comprehensive system of naming one's children as it is believed that
the name of a person strongly influences one's destiny and fate.
Astrologers,
fortune tellers, academics and monks are consulted when choosing a name for the new born.
Most other cultures, however do not really believe in it and tend to brush it off as superstition.
Whether you believe it or not, however, the other cultures are not spared of this correlation.

One very good example is Lee IACOCCA
, whose name
IACOCCA stands for:
I
Am
Chairman
Of
Chrysler
Corporation

America

Coincidence?..........

Look at the following familiar examples.
BUSH stands for:
Beat
Up
Saddam
Hussein

However, no one can beat this latest casualty in bad naming:
OSAMA stands for:Oh >> Shit, >> American >> Missiles >> Again!

B E D - T I M E DUAAS

It is highly emphasized to do Wudhoo before going to sleep because
it carries much Sawaab. A person sleeping on a Taahir (paak or
clean) bedding in the state of having performed Wudhoo gets the
reward of having done worship for the whole night. Moreover, before
falling asleep it is essentially recommended to take account of all
our deeds of the past day so as to rewind our tape of memory of good
and bad deeds we have committed, thus, eventually realizing our
position on the scale of morality, and if the scale of bad deeds is
heavier then good deeds we should attempt to reverse the scale in
the next coming day.

It is wisely said that take your reckoning yourself before you are
taken to be reckoned, or, do your Hisaab yourself before your Hisaab
is done, i.e. done by dreadful angels.

Sleep is said to be a sister of death. So when one goes to sleep
he/she should realize that there is however no any surety of getting
up again, therefore it is very important that when we sleep we must
possess a clean heart filled with pure faith. Perhaps we may not get
a chance to rectify the past wrongs. So first of all one should
revive his or her faith, i.e. confirm from the bottom of the heart
all that is necessary for a believer. Then do Istighfaar and recite
the recommended Duaas.

It should be remembered that it is Makrooh to keep awake after Ishaa
for merely chatting and wasting time in vain talks. The Holy Prophet
S.A.W.W. said that except for three things it is not good to keep
awake at night, they are :

(1) for Namaaz-e-Shab,
(2) for reciting Holy Qur'aan or for education, and
(3) for that bride who came to her husband's house on the first
night.
It is also Makrroh to sleep (a) upto sun-rise, (b) in-between
Maghrib and Ishaa, and (c) after the time of Asr.

And it is recommendable to have a short nap just before Zohr (in
summer), and siesta after Namaaz-e-Zohr and Asr. A person complained
to the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. of the loss of memory, he was advised
to have a small amount of sleep in the afternoon; he acted likewise
and was cured of his complaint.

It is Sunnat while sleeping to lie down on the right side and put
the hand under the cheek. It is Makrooh to sleep lying on the left
side.

There are some very good Duaas to be recited at the time of going to
bed. They are as follows: -

(1) Recite 3 times Surah-e-Ikhlaas and Surah-e-Takaasoor. [*****]

(2) Reciting this Dauaa earns Sawaab of 1000 rak'at Namaaz:-
"~Yaf'alullaahu Maa Yashaau Bi Qudratihee, Wa Yahkumu Maa Yureedu
Bi Izzatihee.~" ( = Allaah does whatever He wills, by His Qudrat,
and whatever He determines by His Might He orders it. )

(3) Recite Salawaat on all Prophets, Tasbihaat-e- Arba'aa, and
Istighfaar for all Mu'mineen wal Mu'minaat.

(4) Recite "Al-Qayyoomu" (=The Everlasting) 156 times to have a
sound sleep.

(5) Recite 100 times "Al-Baaisu" (=The Resurrector) for the increase
in wisdom, or 573 times the same for increase in intellectual power.

(6) Recite Tasbeeh of Bibi Faatima Zehra S.A. (34 x Allaahu Akbar,
33 x Al-Hamdulillaah, and 33 x Sub'haanallaah, & Once Laa Ilaaha
Illallaah .)

(7) Recite Surah-e-Hashr and S.Az-Zaariyaat (this increases
sustenance).

(8) Recite this Duaa before going to sleep to remain safe from
poisonous animals, it is from Imaam Muhammad Baaqir A.S.:- "~Aoodhu
Bikalimaatil- laahit Ttammatil Latee Laa Yujaavizuhunna Barrun Walaa
Faajirun Min Sharri Maa Dhara'a Wa Min Sharri Maa Bara'a Wa Min
Sharri Kulli Daabbatin Huwa Aakhidhun Bi Naaswiyatihaa Inna Rabbee
Alaa Swiraatum Mustaqeem. Innallaaha Yumsikas-Samaawaati Wal Ardhi
An Tazoola Wala'in Zaalataa In Amsakahumaa Min Ahadin Min Ba'adihee
Innahoo Kaana Haleeman Ghafoora. ~" ( = I seek refuge with His
completed words where no any good nor evil can bypass from the
wickedness of everything which come into existence and operates, and
from the evil of every living creature which He holds by its

The Term "Shia" in Holy Quran and Hadith
The word "Shia" means "followers; members of party". As such, the term "Shia" alone has no negative or positive meaning unless we specify the leader of the party. If one is a Shia (follower) of the most righteous servants, then there is nothing wrong with being Shia, specially if the leader of such party has been assigned by Allah. On the other hand, if one becomes the Shia a tyrant or a wrong-doer, he shall meet with the fate of his leader. In fact, Quran indicates that on the day of Judgment people will come in groups, and each group has its leader in front of it. Allah, to whom belong Might and Majesty, said:
One day We shall call every group of people by their respective Imams. (Quran 17:71)
In the day of judgment, the destiny of the "followers" of each group highly depends on the destiny of his Imam (provided that they really followed that Imam). Allah mentioned in Quran that there are two types of Imams. Some Imams are those who invite people to Hell fire. They are tyrannical leaders of each era (like Pharaoh, etc.):
And We made them (but) Imams inviting to the Fire; and on the Day of Judgment no help shall they find. In this world We continued to curse them; and on the Day of Judgment they will be among the hateful. (Quran 28:41-42).
Certainly, being the members of the parties of such Satanic Imams has been severely denounced in Quran, and the followers of such parties will meet the fate of their leaders. However, Quran also reminds that there are Imams who are appointed by Allah as Guides for the mankind:
"And We ASSIGNED from among them some Imams who GUIDE by Our authority since they were patient and believed firmly in Our Signs." (Quran 32:24)
Certainly, the true followers (Shia) of these Imams will be the real prosperous on the day of resurrection. Thus being a Shia does not mean anything, unless we know the Shia of whom. Allah mentioned in Quran that Some of His righteous servants were Shia of His other righteous servants. An example was Prophet Abraham who was mentioned in Quran specifically as the Shia of Noah:
"And most surely Abraham was among the Shia of him (i.e., Noah)" (Quran 37:83)

(Notice that the word "Shia" is explicitly used, letter by letter, in the above verse as well as the following verse.) In another verse, Quran talks about the Shia of Moses versus the enemies of Moses:
"And he (Moses) went into the city at a time when people (of the city) were not watching, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his Shiaand the other being his enemy, and the one who was of his Shia cried out to him for help against the one who was of his enemy" (Quran 28:15)

In the above verse of Quran, one is named the Shia of Moses (AS) and the other one is named the enemy of Moses, and the people at that time were either the Shia or the enemy of Moses (AS). Thus Shia is an official word used by Allah in His Quran for His high rank prophets as well as their followers. Do you want to say Prophet Abraham was sectarian? How about Prophet Noah and Prophet Moses?
If somebody calls himself a Shia, it is not due to any sectarianism, nor any innovation. It is because Quran has used the phrase for some of His best servants. The above verses that I mentioned in support of Shia, has used this term singular form (i.e., one group of followers). This means that it has special meaning, such as: THE Shia of Noah (AS), THE Shia of Moses (AS). Also in the History of Islam, Shia has been specially used for the "followers of Ali". The first individual who used this term was the Messenger of Allah himself:
The Messenger of Allah said to Ali: "Glad tiding O Ali! Verily you and your companions and your Shia (followers) will be in Paradise."

Sunni references:
  1. Fadha'il al-Sahaba, by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v2, p655
  2. Hilyatul Awliyaa, by Abu Nu'aym, v4, p329
  3. Tarikh, by al-Khateeb al-Baghdadi, v12, p289
  4. al-Awsat, by al-Tabarani
  5. Majma' al-Zawa'id, by al-Haythami, v10, pp 21-22
  6. al-Darqunti, who said this tradition has been transmitted via numerous authorities.
  7. al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar Haythami , Ch. 11, section 1, p247
Thus the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) used to say the phrase of "Shia of Ali". This phrase is not something invented later! Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) said that the TRUE followers of imam Ali will go to Paradise, and this is a great felicity. Also Jabir Ibn Abdillah al-Ansari narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said: "The Shia of Ali are the real victorious in the day of resurrection/rising"

Sunni references:
  • al-Manaqib Ahmad, as mentioned in:
  • Yanabi al-Mawaddah, by al-Qundoozi al-Hanafi, p62
  • Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, who quotes the tradition as follows: "We were with the Holy Prophet when Ali came towards us. The Holy Prophet said: He and his Shia will aquire salvation on the day of judgment."
The "day of rising" may also refer to the day of rising of al-Mahdi (AS). But in more general term, it means the day of judgment. Also it is narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "O Ali! On the Day of Judgment I shall resort to Allah and you will resort to me and your children will resort to you and the Shia will resort to them. Then you will see where they carry us. (i.e. to Paradise)"
Sunni reference: Rabi al-Abrar, by al-Zamakhshari
Furthermore, it is narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "O Ali! (On the day of Judgment) you and your Shia will come toward Allah well-pleased and well-pleasing, and there will come to Him your enemies angry and stiff-necked (i.e., their head forced up).
Sunni references:
  • al-Tabarani, on the authority of Imam Ali
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Ch. 11, section 1, p236
A more complete version of the tradition which has also been reported by the Sunnis, is as follows:
Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated: When the verse "Those who believe and do righteous deeds are the best of the creation (Quran 98:7)" was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said to Ali: "They are you and your Shia." He continued: "O Ali! (On the day of Judgment) you and your Shia will come toward Allah well-pleased and well-pleasing, and your enemies will come angry with their head forced up. Ali said: "Who are my enemies?" The Prophet (PBUH&HF) replied: "He who disassociates himself from you and curses you. And glad tiding to those who reach first under the shadow of al-'Arsh on the day of resurrection." Ali asked: "Who are they, O the Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Your Shia, O Ali, and those who love you."
Sunni references:
  • al-Hafidh Jamaluddin al-Dharandi, on the authority of Ibn Abbas
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar, Ch. 11, section 1, pp 246-247
Then Ibn Hajar provides a bizarre commentary for the first tradition, saying:
The Shia of Ali are the Ahlussunnah since they are those who love Ahlul-Bayt as Allah and His Prophet ordered. But others (i.e., other than Sunnis) are the enemies of Ahlul-Bayt in reality for the love outside the boundary of law is the great enmity, and that was the reason for their fate. Also, the enemies of Ahlul-Bayt were al-Khawarij and their alike from Syria, not Muawiyah and other companions because they were Muteawweloon, and for them is a good reward, and for Ali and his Shia is a good reward!
Sunni reference:
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar, Ch. 11, section 1, p236
And this is how Sunni scholars cope with the prophetic traditions in favor of "Shia of Ali"! They say that they are the real Shia!
Let us look at one more tradition in this regard:
The Messenger of Allah said to Ali: "The first four individuals who will enter the Paradise are me, you, al-Hasan, and al-Husain, and our progeny will be behind us, and our wives will be behind our progeny, and our Shia will be on our right side and in our company."
Sunni references:
  • al-Manaqib, by Ahmad
  • al-Tabarani, as quoted in:
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar Haythami , Ch. 11, section 1, p246
From the above pieces of evidence, the word "Shia" is used by Allah in Quran for His prophets as well as their followers. Further, His blessed Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH&HF) has repeatedly used this word for the followers of Imam Ali (AS). The word Shia is used here in its special meaning, and moreover, it is not in plural form (Parties), rather the above verses and traditions are referring to a special party, i.e., one single party. If Shia meant sectarian, neither Allah would use it for His high rank prophets nor Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) would have praised them.
However there are some verses in Quran which uses the plural form of Shia that is "Shi-ya'a" which means "Parties/groups". This is a general meaning of this term, and not the special meaning in singular form which has been given in previous examples. Of course, only one single party is accepted by Allah and the rest are severely denounced because they have separated from that unique party. So it is clear why Allah denounced "Groups/Parties/sects" (plural form) who separated from that unique group in some verses of Quran. There can't be two righteous groups (with conflicting ideas) at the same time, because between the two leaders one is surely better and more qualified, and thus the claims and the motives of the other leader goes under question.
However I did not locate the exact term of "Ahlussunnah wal-Jama'ah", nor did I find "al-Wahhabiyyah", "al-Salafiyyah" anywhere in the Holy Quran or the traditions of the Prophet. I agree that we should follow the Sunnah of Prophet, but I would like to discover the origin of the exact term here. We Shia are proud to follow the Sunnah of Prophet. However, the question is that which Sunnah is genuine and which one is not. The word "Sunnah" by itself does not serve the purpose of knowledge. All Muslims irrespective to their persuasions claim that they follow the Sunnah of Prophet (PBUH&HF). Please refer to the article titled "Quran and Ahlul-Bayt" for a detailed discussion in this regard.
It should be emphasized that the Messenger of Allah never wished to divide Muslims into groups. Prophet ORDERED all people to follow Imam Ali (AS) as his agent during his life time, and as his Caliph after him. Prophet wished everybody does that. But unfortunately those who heeded him were few and were known as "Shia of Ali" who were subject to all sort of discrimination and prosecution, and suffered from day one of the demise of the Mercy to Mankind, Muhammad (PBUH&HF). If every one (or say the majority Muslims) had obeyed what prophet wished, then there wouldn't exist any group or school within Islam. Allah said in Quran:
"Hold fast to the Rope of Allah, all of you together and do not separate" (Quran 3:103)"
The Rope of Allah which we should not separate from, are the Ahlul-Bayt. In fact, some Sunni scholars narrated from Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS) saying:
"We are the Rope of Allah about whom Allah has said: 'Hold fast to the Rope of Allah, all of you together and do not diverge (3:103)'"
Sunni references:
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar Haythami , Ch. 11, section 1, p233
  • Tafsir al-Kabir, by al-Tha'labi, under commentary of verse 3:103
Thus, if Allah denounces the sectarianism, He denounces those who separated from His Rope, and not those who hold fast to it! Also some said the Rope of Allah is Quran. This is also true. But by looking at the following tradition narrated by Umm Salama who said:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Ali is with Quran, and Quran is with Ali. They shall not separate from each other till they both return to me by the Pool (of Paradise)."
Sunni references:
  • al-Mustadrak, by al-Hakim, v3, p124 on the authority of Umm Salama
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar, Ch. 9, section 2, pp 191,194
  • al-Awsat, by al-Tabarani; also in al-Saghir
  • Tarikh al-Khulafa, by Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, p173
Then we can conclude that Imam Ali is * the Quran verbatim *. That is, Imam Ali is the Strong Rope of Allah also, because they (Quran and Ali) are non-separable. In fact, there are a huge number of traditions in authentic Sunni sources where Prophet said Quran and Ahlul-Bayt are inseparable and if Muslims want to remain in the right path, they should stick to BOTH of them. (Please refer to the article titled: Quran and Ahlul-Bayt). Therefore, one can conclude that those who separated from Ahlul-Bayt are the sectarian who divided into sects and were denounced by Allah and His prophet due to their divergence.
In fact, the opinion of majority is not a good criteria to distinguish the false from the truth. If you look at the Quran, you will see that Quran severely denounces the majority of by frequently saying that "the majority do not understand", "the majority do not use their logic", "the majority follow their whims"...
In another verse, Allah said:
"You are the best nation (Ummah) that has been raised up for the (benefit of) people. You enjoin the good and forbid the evil..." (Quran 3:110).
The best nation is also the Ahlul-Bayt. Let us remember that according to Quran, "nation" does not mean the whole people. This is even clear from the above verse that such Ummah (nation) are raised FOR benefiting the people. Thus Ummah can be only a subset of people and not the whole people. In fact one person can be a nation. Sometimes the act of a single person is worthier than the deeds of the whole nation. This was the case for Prophet Muhammad, Imam Ali, as well as the case for Prophet Abraham, peace be upon them all. Quran states that Abraham (AS) was a nation (Ummah), meaning that his deeds was more valuable than all other people. Allah stated:
"Lo! Abraham was a nation (Ummah) who was obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters" (Quran 16:120)
Thus, one single individual can be a nation in the language of Quran. As for the Verse 3:100, it is interesting to note that some Sunni scholars have narrated from Abu Ja'far (Imam Baqir (AS)) that:
Abu Ja'far (AS) said about the verse 'You are the best nation raised up for the (benefit of) people...(3:110)': "The Members of the House of the Prophet."
Sunni references:
  • Ibn Abi Hatam, as mentioned in:
  • al-Durr al-Manthoor, by Jalaluddin al-Suyuti under commentary of verse 3:110 of holy Quran.
Also Allah mentioned in Quran:
"O' you who believe! Fear Allah and be with the truthful"
(Quran 9:119)
According to some Sunni Commentaries, "the truthful" means Imam Ali (AS):
Sunni reference:
  • Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, two reports: one from Ibn Mardawayh by Ibn Abbas and the second from Ibn Asakir by Abi Ja'far (AS).
This means that people should have feared Allah and should not have separated from Imam Ali (AS) after the demise of Prophet (PBUH&HF). This unfortunately did not happen at large, and therefore, unfortunate divisions followed it.
With respect to the world al-Siddeeq -- "The Truthful", there are many Sunni narrations in which the Messenger of Allah said:
The Truthful are three: Hazqeel (who was) the believer of the family of Pharaoh (see Quran 40:28), and Habeeb al-Najjar (who was) the believer of the family of Yaasin (see Quran 36:20), and Ali Ibn Abi Talib who is the most virtuous one among them (see Quran 9:119)."
Sunni references:
  • Abu Nu'aym and Ibn Asakir, on the authority of Abu Layla
  • Ibn al-Najjar, on the authority of Ibn Abbas
  • al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, by Ibn Hajar, Ch. 9, section 2, pp 192-193
In conclusion, we have shown in this article that the term Shia has been used in Quran for the followers of the great servants of Allah, and in the traditions of the Prophet for the followers of Imam Ali (AS). One who follows such divinely appointed Guide is safe from the disputes in the religion and has grasped the Strong Rope of Allah, and has been given the glad tiding of Paradise.

Side Comments

A Sunni brother wrote: Sunni means the one who follows the traditions (Sunnah) of the Prophet, and this is supported by the following verse of Quran:
Certainly you have in the Apostle of Allah an excellent exemplar (beautiful pattern of conduct) for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much. (Quran 33:21)

My comment was as follows:
1)
In the above verse neither the word "Sunnah" nor any of its derivative has been used. As I mentioned earlier, Allah has used the terminology of "Muslim" in its exact form, letter by letter, in the verse 22:78. Also Allah used the word "Shia" again in exact form in verse 37:83 for the Prophet Abraham. However, Allah never used the words such as "Sunni" or as "Ahlussunnah" for the followers of the Prophet (PBUH&HF).
2)
If you say we do not find such exact terminology, but we understand that the Prophet is our pattern, then one may say that Quran testifies that Prophet Abraham (AS) was a pattern for us as well:
"Indeed, there is for you an excellent exemplar (beautiful pattern of conduct) in Abraham..." (Quran 60:4)

Notice that in the above verse, the phrase which has been used for Prophet Abraham (AS) is exactly the same as that of the previous quoted verse used for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF). That is true for the following verse as well:
Certainly there is for you in them (Abraham and his followers) an excellent exemplar (beautiful pattern of conduct) for him who fears Allah and the last day; and whoever turns back, then surely Allah is the Self-sufficient, the Praised. (Quran 60:6)
 ( /: /
Now please tell us if we can be called a Sunni because we follow Abraham's traditions? Certainly Prophet Muhammad followed the tradition of Prophet Abraham, yet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) was never called Sunni, as that result. Similarly, Prophet Abraham followed the traditions of Prophet Noah, but he was never called a Sunni. Quran mentioned that he was a Shia of Noah.
3)
The word "Sunnah" has used in Quran to refer to the custom of God and the way Allah conducts the affairs and the rules governing the universe (Sunnatullah). But here we are discussing the word Sunnah referred to the Prophet (PBUH&HF), and not the rules governing the universe. As such we are looking for the term such as "Sunnatu Rasoolillah".
How Do I Know If My PC Is Infected With Spyware or Adware
Many people that are new to the Internet world are nervous about the potential of viruses, Spyware or Adware that can harm their computer, affect performance or make their very private information public to others.

Spyware programs can do a number of damaging things to your personal computer.

Spyware infects your pc and hides in the background and can do many nasty things to the performance of your system. It can also do harmful things to you such as send out your personal information, your every keystroke and photo that resides on your hard drive, watch your surfing habits and shopping habits and annoy you with annoying pop-ups filled with advertisements and even pornography.

If you are experiencing any unusual changes in your computer's performance or have any unusual new pop-ups, changes to your toolbars or new icons on your desktop, you should run a system scan to find out if you have Spyware. Products exist on the market to help you combat this problem. Be sure to install software that you know is credible. Downloading freeware can often result in further Spyware existing on your computer. Spyware, Adware and Malware companies frequently fool users into sending pop-ups telling them that there's a problem with their computer and this in fact is further spyware. These errors can open your system up to future further problems by fooling people into thinking they're downloading fixes when really further spyware is being downloaded.

Watch your system's performance and at the sign of any unusual activity, realize that you are probably infected. Do something as soon as possible to protect your privacy. These programs don't discriminate and can launch themselves when you or your family members sit in front of the computer. Pornographic pop-ups can turn up whether it's an adult or a child using the computer. Protect your pc.

Antivirus alone isn't enough to combat this problem. Spyware sneaks into your system via executable files that you don't need to do anything to launch. They can sneak in as attachments that you download or by many other means. They're harmful and annoying but you can protect your computer and your privacy with the right software. This software needs to have an auto update for spyware definitions as new spyware definitions are being added daily. So a spyware removal program is a great compliment to your existing anti-virus software.

Total Innovations, Inc. specializes in developing award winning software programs designed to solve computer users needs. The spyware removal software, http://www.emailspy.com & http://www.folderhider.com are a few of the most recent.

for everyone

To use your iPod as a drive, hard drive or flash drive, depends on your iPod, to store and transfer data files on check this steps below.

To put music files on your iPod, use iTunes. Keep in mind that you can't see the songs that iTunes copies to your iPod in the "Finder" or "My Computer".

Using your iPod as a drive:

1. Connect your iPod to a computer.
2. Open iTunes.(if it doesn't open itself)
3. Click the iPod icon in the Source pane.
4. Click the Summary tab.
5. For most iPod models (excluding iPod shuffle): Select "Enable disk use" or "Manually manage songs and playlists". Either of them will allow you to use iPod as a drive. If you choose "Manually manage songs and playlists", iTunes won't automatically update iPod with the iTunes library. If you want iTunes to automatically update your iPod, choose "Enable disk use" .

For iPod shuffle: Select the "Enable disk use" checkbox and set the Storage Allocation slider to indicate the space you want to be used by audio files and the space you want to be used for data files.

6. The iPod disk icon appears on the desktop and in Finder windows, and in My Computer in Windows. Double-click the icon and drag files to or from iPod's window to copy them.

7. Make sure to eject iPod before disconnecting it from your computer. The iPod display will say "Do Not Disconnect when disk use is enabled" so you won't forget.

Copy songs from iPod to Computer

With default settings, iTunes automatically copies the media in your library to your iPod. When you use your iPod as a hard disk, you can't see the media iTunes copies to your iPod in the Finder or My Computer. Using the Finder or My Computer, you can't copy these media files from your iPod back to iTunes or to any other computer.

The synchronization between your iPod and your computer is one way: from iTunes to iPod. The exception is the transfer Purchases feature, which allows you to restore purchased iTunes content to your computer from your iPod.

If you've erased the iTunes library on your computer, there's no way to use the Finder or My Computer to copy the media from your iPod to rebuild the library on your computer. One way is to encode the songs from your CD again, then sync your new library with iPod. If you bought content from the iTunes Store and didn't back them up, you won't be able to download them again. You'll have to buy new copies.

Tips: If you plan to connect iPod to another computer, make sure not to sync it with the iTunes library on the other computer. This will only happen if you selected the Enable Disk Use option instead of manually managing music.

If you use your iPod as a disk with a Windows PC, keep in mind that the FAT32 file system can only accommodate files that are smaller than 4 gigabytes. No matter how much free space there is on your iPod, you can't copy files that are larger than that.
